Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (classroom-based course)

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  Course Length: 3 to 3.5-hours

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (online w/ skills session)

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  The course completion card for the online course is identical to the card for the classroom course.

There are TWO parts to the BLS Online with Skill Check course:

  1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online simulation and written test completion (0.5 to 2 hours)
  2. Part 2 at one of our regularly scheduled classes: Manikin practice and skills testing (15 - 20 minutes)  This session normally begins 30-minutes prior to one of our classroom-based courses--May be scheduled now or you may call to schedule after completing the course.

  • You will receive your CPR card at the Skill Check session
  • Your CPR card will be identical to the classroom-based CPR card with no mention of being a blended "online" course.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED (online w/ skills session)

Is this course for me?  Please note that if you are a healthcare provider or healthcare student who requires CPR certification then this course will not fulfill your requirements.  Register for the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course to meet your requirements.

For anyone who desires the skills to manage Cardiac and First Aid emergencies. The Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED Online Course includes adult, child and infant CPR and teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the few minutes until professional help arrives.

There are TWO parts to the Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED ONLINE with Skills Session course:

  1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online simulation and written test completion (0.5 to 2 hours)
  2. Part 2 at one of our regularly scheduled classes: Manikin practice and skills testing (20 - 30 minutes)

Heartcode ACLS (online w/ skills session)

HeartCode® ACLS is an official, self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program from the American Heart Association (AHA). HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 uses eSimulation technology to present realistic patient scenarios.

Students are presented with a team dynamics lesson, 10 ACLS hospital-based case scenarios, and a written exam. While interacting with the program, students assess each patient, formulate a treatment plan based on ACLS guidelines, and provide treatment.

Successful completion of Part 1, the cognitive component, and Parts 2 and 3, skills practice and testing with an AHA ACLS Instructor meets the requirements for obtaining an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card.

HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 (90-1405) requires Windows XP or Mac OSX, with Internet Explorer 7+ or Firefox 2+. HeartCode programs are not supported by Apple Safari.

There are THREE parts to the HeartCode® ACLS certification :

Part 1 at your home or office: Online simulation and written test completion (+/- 10 hours)

Part 2 & 3 at one of our regularly scheduled classes: Part 2 - Hands-on practice. Part 3 - skills testing (30 minutes total)
